Aquatica SeaWorld's Waterpark will open for the first time Saturday, according to SeaWorld.
A grand opening ceremony with a lei-cutting will be held at 9:45 a.m.
The opening signals the end of six months of renovations to bring turtle and flamingo exhibits, new water slides and other additions to the water park formerly known as Knott's Soak City at 2052 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista.
The water park will operate from June 1 to Sept. 2 and weekends from Sept. 7 to Oct. 20.
