Jersey Boys Diner Takes Top Honors in Taste of IB, Grand Opening Thursday

The new restaurant beat out other local businesses to earn top honors from attendees at last Sunday's Taste of IB and Thursday will celebrate its grand opening.

Attendees of last Sunday's Taste of IB voted to give Jersey Boys Diner first place for Best Presentation, Best Service and Best Customer Service.

Each year The Taste of IB invites local businesses to shell out samples of their food or services.

Jersey Boys beat out 26 other competitors with pulled pork sliders, St. Louis style ribs and a fruit and desert tray.

After a "soft" opening in April, the new restaurant will celebrate its grand opening Thursday at 3 p.m., complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

"We haven't done any advertising yet at all," said owner Gregg Lalka. "Locals are keeping us in business and we really appreciate it."

All are invited to attend to try a pulled pork slider, participate in a gift certificate raffle and get to know Jersey Boys owners and staff.

The dog-friendly establishment will also have samples of their granola and wheat dog treats made from scratch. Dogs are only allowed on the patio, and doggie treats are prepared separately from all other food.
