But it's ok to continue to develop and increase density? As the City of Imperial Beach continues toRead More redevelop along the I-75 corridor and along 13th as well as Seacoast Drive....Increasing height an density is good for developers and politicians. Where is the water going to come from to flush all those toilets and showers? You can't hardly water your lawn now....and when the water does run out....or becomes more valuable than gasoline...where is your economy going to be then. There should absolutely be a moratorium on new development until the water, electrical and infrastructure issues are resolved and secured. Continued buil-outs are reckless and irresponsible without adequate water supplies. And who's the goofball at SANDAG that came up with the OXY-MORON called "SMART GROWTH" . That never came from Imperial Beach.

Nothing new there Black panther o Poetry the human race has been delving the depth of depravity forRead More eons. There are a lot of good people in our world, but unfortunately evil is hyper active

It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

glenn bernard March 29, 2014 at 09:38 AM "reminds me of my keen desire to disconnect the gasRead More line to my house, so that I can go all-solar. But can't do it, because my neighbors have tall trees that prevent sunlight from reaching my roof."

Thanks again T I L. Robbie, major legal battles have occurred following several earthquakesRead More concerning the explosions that ensue because gas lines burst. Then the house burns down. Then the owner submits an insurance claim on his fire policy. Insurer won't pay because the owner did not have earthquake coverage. The sun zone of American really needs to be solarized.

The ship didn't dock in I.B. How is this Imperial Beach news?
Edgar Moore March 18, 2014 at 02:35 pm
Thanks Michelle for posting this wonderful story. I.B. has many years of Naval History. This storyRead More is another great example of service by many fine young men and women. Many live and have lived in I.B. and some live in my neighborhood with their families. Being a retired Naval Civilian with 45 years of service (others like me live in I.B.) stories like these are appreciated! I'm happy to note you haven't been intimidated by Kravitz. His NEGATIVE STORY could be classified as not worthy of the PATCH or Imperial Beach!! Rumors circulating that he resides in Illinois but has a PO BOX in I.B. Not good enough to be a resident!!!

It's almost Imperial Beach. Be good in the Chula Vista Patch. Not IB news unless the lady lives inRead More IB? That's my opinion. I will be writing more about the news vacuum in IB soon and hope other citizens will be willing to participate in helping us to end the NEWS VACUUM. We will be posting our proposal and asking for community assistance to start our new on line and print paper that will come out twice a month the weekend before council meetings. The community need to know what's happening before it happens ....not just after the votes at city council. We need news about the things that are actually happening in the city limits. The stabbing story was good local reporting. If everyone would start using your I-phones; digital cameras and computers...we could compile a lot more local news on our own than the new editor seems to be able to glean from google alerts and the internet trolling.
