One more thing, I couldn't be more proud of my older children - Marc and Katy. They are the biggest…Read More advocates for their little brother. Politicians around the world have agreed that 2 degrees Celsius of global warming is the maximum we…Read More should allow, but yet we remain on track to blow past that limit. We can emit no more than 565 Gigatons of CO2 to stay below 2 degrees of warming. But the fossil fuel industry has reserves with the capacity to release about five times that amount (2,795 Gigatons). So we have to try to stymie their business plan. Approving Keystone XL would be doing just the opposite. In San Diego, the impacts of climate change will include rising temperatures, water shortage, sea level rise and more frequent and intense wildfires. I don't think that's the kind of legacy any of us wants to leave our kids and future generations.
