Imperial Beach Fire Department - Public Safety Department

<p>As the head of public safety for the city, the fire department also oversees lifeguard services, animal control and the Community Emergency Response Team or CERT. The fire department has an ambulance, two fire trucks and primarily responds to medical calls.</p> <p>Residents may visit during office hours for fire safety prevention tips and literature. The fire department inspects the community's buildings for fire safety compliance. Animal services are contracted out to the Chula Vista Animal Shelter Program.</p> <p>The city's fire chief and director of Public Safety is Tom Clark.</p>
