This Exhibit Will Rock Your World

The guitar exhibit runs through April 6 at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center.

An exhibit on guitars is scheduled to open Friday at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.

"Guitar: The Instrument That Rocked the World" is a touring exhibition of the National Guitar Museum. The show is making its first West Coast stop in San Diego.

"The guitar is the most enduring icon in American history," said H.P. Newquist, founder and executive director of the guitar museum. "It has been around longer than baseball, basketball, soft drinks and sports cars. It's hard to find anyone who hasn't been affected by the guitar, whether as players or as fans of music ranging from country and folk to jazz and rock."
