Week Ahead: Free Yoga, American Legion Craft Fair and Blue Christmas

Saturday was the first day of winter. We don’t always acknowledge this season in Southern California, but after a period of unusually cold weather and pleas to conserve natural gas, it sure feels like winter. Here’s a link to the official winter forecast.

The week before Christmas is a great time to donate food to needy local families. Consider a donation of food or funds to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. The food bank serves on average 320,000 people per month in San Diego County.

Everyone is invited to a free yoga session with IB Yoga Friday near the beach at Pier Plaza.

Those who miss family they used to spend the holidays with or just aren't feeling the holiday spirit are welcome to attend the Blue Christmas worship service at Imperial Beach United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Friday.

If you haven't been there to see the new digs yet, stop by American Legion Post 820 Saturday and take a look at the new facility and plenty of potential Christmas presents at a legion craft fair.
