Friends of the Library Meeting
- Meet and mingle with the Friends of the Imperial Beach Library. The meeting is for current and new members. Friends of the Library Meeting will start at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12 at the library.
- Are you a middle or high school teacher looking for a field trip opportunity? Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve will host a free two-day training for teachers. Training will start at 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 and Friday, Aug. 16.
- Attention seniors of Imperial Beach, socialize and meet other seniors in the area. Senior Club meeting will start at 9 a.m. with social hour and meeting will begin at 10 a.m. every Friday at Imperial Beach Senior Center. Club dues are $5 annually and everyone 50 and older is welcome to participate.
- Shop-til-you-drop for fresh produce, crafts, food and more. Imperial Beach Farmers Market will start from Noon to 7 p.m. every Friday at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza.
- Are pests taking over your garden? Wild Willow Farm & Education Center will host a workshop discussing beneficial plants, insects and pest management. The second half of the class will be out in the fields harvesting and preparing food. The workshop will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Wild Willow Farm & Education Center.
