Bayside Elementary Holds Successful Fall Carnival

Money raised at the carnival will go toward needed school equipment, said Bayside Elementary School PTA President Chrystal Rose.

Bayside Elementary School held a fall carnival Wednesday for students to play games, do the cake walk and don their Halloween best.

By selling food and tickets for a variety of carnival games, the school raised $2,000 needed for a laminating machine, said Bayside PTA President Chrystal Rose.

Teachers gave at least two hours of their own time after school let out to help run the carnival and clean up afterward and members of the 6th Grade Student Site Council ran their own booth.

"Teachers and students donated their time," Rose said. "It was a beautiful event."

The carnival was sponsored by Save U Foods, Surf Hut, who donated skateboard decks as prizes and Seaside Candy, who donated lollipops for the lollipop tree.
