Where Are the Places "Everyone Knows Your Name?"

Can you help me out? 

Where are the best places in Imperial Beach to hang out and meet folk from the area?

I am still relatively new to Imperial Beach.  So, I do not know the answer to the question. 

Can't help but think of the televison show CHEERS that boasted the notion to be the place where "everyone knows your name."  That was always a cool thing to think about finding.  Someplace where one felt they belonged.  Is there a place like that here in Imperial Beach?

Was thinking and hoping someone, like you, might know. 

For example, I know there are places in town like Scoreboard, The Salty Frog, Ye Olde Plank, and IB Forum Sports Bar & Grill. Are these good places to meet and socialize with people in the community?  Are there other places that are better?

During the day, there is Katy’s Café and West Coast Café.  I have gone to both of these.  These seem to be good gathering spots in town; they were friendly spots.

But I am looking for your recommendations.

Since being appointed as pastor to the Imperial Beach United Methodist Church this past July, I have been working to get to know people in this great community.  It has been a joy to meet a number of residents, business leaders and politicians.  Some have been conversations through email; others have been face to face.  All of them have been good.  I am now looking into specific locations where people gather. 

Hey, if you have a favorite place in town, I would love to meet you there sometime.   Maybe you can show me around a bit.  I would really appreciate it.
