Wednesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Worth grabbing a session, cooler than average weather countywide.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.

If you've got a little time in between appointments, then go grab a session. There's a slowly easing south-southwest swell and a little northwest windswell out there making for some fast semi-wally lines and good pick and choose corners.

The conditions are looking mostly clean and glassy from the start, with a continued mix of mainly slowly easing south southwest swell and a little northwest windswell out there.

Most Imperial Beach spots are running about knee to chest high, with the top south facing breaks pulling some plus sets.

Wednesday's weather forecast calls for a bit of fog before 11 a.m. and partly cloudy IB skies for the rest of the day with a high of 72 and low of 61. Similar conditions are expected in IB through the weekend and into early next week.

The rest of San Diego will have similarly mild weather Wednesday with a high of 71 downtown, high 70s inland and 98 degrees in Borrego Springs and the desert.

If you're going to get wet, well that water temperature is slowing warming back up again, so throw on no more than a thin fullsuit with it averaging between 63 and 65 degrees. Have fun out there!
