Tuesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Size drops off a tad. A general advisory for all San Diego County beaches continues.

Good Tuesday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're still seeing some fun size surf out there, but that size has backed down a bit.

With the continued fading west-northwest swell in the water, this stretch of sand may have some fast sectiony lines, with lots of workable shoulders and a few good wedgers. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to stomach high plus waves, with the focal points pulling chest high waves, with maybe a few larger ones. Water temperature at most spots averages between 59 and 61 degrees.

Beaches countywide remain under a general advisory following rain Sunday. The County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health generally recommends that people stay out of the water 72 hours following a major rain event. Beaches near the mouth of the Tijuana River and further south to the U.S.-Mexico border remain closed.
