Beaches Closed, Thursday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Good day for the groms!

Good Thursday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Considering there's not much in the way of waves, it's the not the best day for surfing. Conditions are looking fairly clean from the start with a very minor mix of leftover northwest energy and hardly any southerly swell to speak of.

Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to thigh high with the focal points pulling a few waist high plus waves. Water between 60 to 62 degrees.

None of that really matters because beaches from Carnation Avenue to the U.S.-Mexico have been closed. Glorietta Bay in Coronado has also been closed due to the Tijuana River. All other San Diego County beaches are open.

The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies becoming sunny later in the day with highs from 64 to 69 and lows from 48 to 54 this evening.
