Thursday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Good energy in the water but high surf advisory in effect until Saturday.

Good Thursday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.

Well, we're seeing a pretty good amount of action. So go grab a couple in between appointments. The conditions are nicely groomed early on with a mix of northwest ground and windswell in the water.

That recipe is offering this part of the coast some fast and mostly broken up lines and some wedgy shoulders.

 by the National Weather Service for parts of San Diego County from Thursday to early Saturday. A northern storm is expected to produce five to seven foot wave, with sets up to nine feet in some areas.

Weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with highs from 64 to 69 and lows from 41 to 51 Thursday evening. Temperature may be a few degrees warmer tomorrow, but the weekend may look a lot like today's weather.

If you're planning on paddling throw that 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties with the water temp averaging between 56 and 58 degrees. Have at it.
