Good Thursday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, the playful size surf is sticking around for another day. So, if you happen to be getting a jumpstart to your holiday weekend, then go grab a couple.
We have some nicely groomed conditions early on with a mixture of mainly holding west northwest swell and some very minor south southwest energy in the water.
That recipe is making for some fast sectiony lines with some good steep shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about waist to chest high plus with the standout breaks pulling shoulder high waves with a few bigger ones.

Forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs from 60 to 65 and lows from 36 to 46. Wind gusts up to 15 mph.
If you're planning on paddling, a 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties will do the job with the water temperature at most spots averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. Have fun out there!!
