Thursday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Dropping trend continues with bad water quality. Chance of rain Thursday and Friday.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Unfortunately we're seeing the size of the surf continue to decrease and the water quality is still lousy!

Shoreline from south Coronado to the U.S.-Mexico remained closed by County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health officials due to sewage contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River. A general advisory to beware of bad water quality continues for all other beaches countywide after recent rain.

We have some nice and groomed conditions early on, with a small mixture of northwest energy and some minimal leftover south-southwest swell in the water. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high waves, with the focal points pulling a few larger sets.
