Thursday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

A little increase in wave action, mostly cloudy Sunday.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, there's a bit of an increase in the action, but overall it's still for the most part hanging on the small to playful side.

We have a mixture of some new slowly building south-southwest swell and a touch of northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is making for some pretty broken-up workable lines, with a few racy shoulders. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to maybe stomach high waves, with the focal points pulling chest high sets.

The day's weather forecast predicts mostly cloudy skies with a high of 63 degrees and low of 60 this evening. Similar weather forecast for Coronado, Chula Vista and downtown San Diego. Low to mid 70s inland. 90s in deserts.

If you're going to grab a session, you'll need no more than 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging at most spots between 62 and 64 degrees. Have fun out there!
