Thursday Surf and Weather Report

Size comes down.

Happy Thursday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. The size is backing down a bit, but you can still find some playful size waves coming through at those top spots.

The conditions look fairly clean from the start with a decent dose of fading southerly swell in the water and not a lot of the northwest windswell on tap.

That's offering this stretch of sand some drained out dumpy lines early on, with a few fun shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high plus waves, with the south facing focal points pulling some stomach high plus sets.

In the day's weather, the forecast calls for a high temperature of 73 degrees and low of 61 this evening. 75 degree high in San Diego, mid 80s to low 90s inland and 115 in Borrego Springs.

If you're going to grab a session, then do yourself a favor and throw on a thin fullsuit with the water temperature taking another dip and averaging between 61 and 63 degrees. Have fun out there!
