Gallery: Silver Strand Half Marathon, 5K
Thousands of people took part in the annual half marathon from Coronado to IB.

On a clear, cool Sunday morning, near 3,400 people skated, rode and ran from Coronado to Imperial Beach for the Silver Strand Half Marathon & 5K.
Paricipants in the 13.1-mile race made their way from Sunset Park in Coronado, down the Silver Strand to Imperial Beach's Pier Plaza.

Andrew Falkiewicz of Coronado had the best overall time in the half marathon, finishing in 1:14:27.
More than 60 Imperial Beachians ran in the half marathon. Among top local finishers, Richard Williams took 1st place in the male ages 75-99 division, and Katrine Czajkowski took 1st place in female ages 25-29 division.
