Imperial Beach Little League began their 2012 season Saturday by thanking the San Diego Padres for purchasing jerseys for a dozen teams.

Imperial Beach Little League held its first games of the season Saturday at the Sports Park and Recreation Center.

Before games began, teams lined up for a picture to send to the San Diego Padres to thank them for buying uniforms for 12 of league's teams, ranging from throwbacks 70s era jerseys and camoflage to modern day uniforms.

Opening Day festivities were cancelled last week due to rain, but a raffle drawing was still held
