Monday Surf and Weather Report

The surf backs off a bit.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, the surf has backed off a bit, but you can still find a few waves worthwhile.

The conditions are starting off mostly clean, with a mixture of some fading south southwest swell and some minor northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand with some fast semi-broken up lines, with some good shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to stomach high plus waves, with the focal points pulling some chest high sets.

Monday's weather forecast calls for a high temerpature of 78 degrees in Imperial Beach and low of 64 degrees this evening. Expect similar conditions in San Diego, Chula Vista and on San Diego's beaches. Low 90s inland. 112 in the deserts.

If you're going to get wet, then a thin fullsuit should do the job with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees. Have fun out there!
