Chance of Rain, Thunderstorms in Monday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Waves are barely breaking. Chance of rain forecast until Wednesday.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. This is about the smallest surf we've seen in a while. It's barely breaking out there, so definitely don't be bummed if you can't get in the water!

We have some nice and clean conditions from the start, with a mixture of some very minor southwest swell and a touch of northwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering this part of the coast some weak little dribblers, with not much to work with. A longboard or an SUP is your best bet. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing ankle to knee high waves.

30 percent chance of rain with a chance of thunderstorms in areas across San Diego, Orange, San Bernadino and Riverside counties.

"This could be particularly hazardous for boaters in the coastal waters obscured under a layer of fog," the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook Monday morning.

Chance of patchy drizzle especially in the morning Tuesday and Wednesday west of mountains.

If you're really in need of a salt water bath, throw on a thin fullsuit for at least the a.m hours with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees.  Good luck out there!
