Monday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Mostly small leftover energy, more warm weather forecast with possible highs near 80.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you're bummed out about the long holiday weekend being over, then it might be worth grabbing a session at some point during the day.

We're looking at mostly small leftover energy along this stretch of sand. The conditions are starting off nice and clean, with a mixture of some remnant west-northwest swell and just a touch of southwesterly energy in the water.

That recipe is offering this neck of the woods some slightly crumbly broken up lines with a few fast sections out there. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high plus waves, with the standout combo breaks pulling some stomach high waves, with maybe a few plus sets.

This weekend's warm weather will continue with highs from 74 to 81 and lows from 46 to 56 this evening. Partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are forecast to drop back into the 60s Wednesday with possible rain Thursday and Friday.

If you're planning on paddling...you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature at most spots hanging between 58 and 60 degrees. Good luck out there!
