Monday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Surf builds offering lots of playful waves.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're finally seeing a pretty decent dose of energy out there. So, if you're bummed about the start of the work week, then go grab a session.

We have some fairly clean conditions from the start, with a nice mixture of mainly new northwest swell and a tad of south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering this neck of the woods some fast semi-wally lines, with some good shoulders to snag.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about waist to chest high, with the focal points pulling shoulder high waves, with some head high sets.

Beaches from the river mouth south to the U.S.-Mexico border remain closed.

In the day's weather, forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance of rain. Highs from 56 to 61, lows from 39 to 48 this evening. Mostly sunny weather forecast from Tuesday to Friday.
