Monday Surf and Weather Report

A few playful waves out there.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's continuing to back off, but you can still find a few playful size waves out there.

We're starting off with some pretty clean and glassy conditions. As far as the surf goes, we have mainly easing south-southwest swell and some pretty minor northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe offers this neck of the woods some fast and dumpy semi-wally lines, and some fun rippable shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high plus waves, with the focal points pulling stomach high waves, and the occasional plus set.

Monday's weather forecast calls for sunny skies and a high temperature near 75. Low temperature of 62 this evening. Around the county, San Diego has a high temperature of 73 in San Diego, low to mid 80s for inland valleys and 112 in Borrego Springs.

If you're planning on paddling, well that water temperature has climbed back up again, so throw on no more than a springsuit with it averaging between 65 and 68 degrees.  Have fun out there!
