Friday Wave Check

The coast is cranking!

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.  Well, if you don't like size and power, then stay out of the water today!!  Yep, we're seeing some really solid surf up and down the coast.

The conditions are looking fairly clean early on with an increasing west northwest swell in the water.  That recipe is offering this neck of the woods some fast walled closeouts at the beachbreaks with some good waves to be had at the reefs and points.

Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing shoulder high to a couple feet overhead waves with the standout breaks pulling waves several feet overhead.

Checking the tides...at 6:50 this morning the tide climbs way up to a 5.6 high which could cause some flooding at some beaches early on.  The tide then drains out to a negative 0.5 at 2:15 this afternoon.

If you're going to charge it...you'll want to wear a 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties with the water temperature at most spots averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Be safe!!

Mostly sunny today with lower temperatures between 65 and 70 along the coast. Tonight's temperatures will be in the low 50s with patch dense fog in some areas.
