Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you happen to be getting an early start to your weekend, then you're stoked! Yep, we're seeing the continued run of fun size surf out there.

We have some nicely groomed conditions early on, with a mixture of lingering southerly swell and some very small scale northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is making for some fast and fairly broken-up lines, with some good wedgy shoulders to pick off. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to stomach high waves, with the standout combo breaks pulling some chest high sets.

The weather forecast calls for highs of 67 to 72 near the coast and 72 to 77 inland. Sunny or mostly sunny skies forecast for IB through the weekend.

If you're going to grab a salt water bath, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature at most spots hanging between 60 and 62 degrees. Have fun out there!
