Friday Wave and Weather Check

Similar size surf on tap as yesterday.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're looking at similar size surf as yesterday.  Basically, it's back to small mode just about everywhere, with a few playful size waves to pick off.

We're starting off with some nice and glassy conditions, with a mixture of mostly small scale northwest windswell and some remnant south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some racy drained-out sectiony lines, with a few rippable corners.  You can definitely get out just about any board out there today.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to waist high, with the top combo breaks pulling a few bigger sets.

In the weather the high temperature in Imperial Beach today is expected to top out at 77 degrees and a low in the 60s at night. 10 mph wind out of the west. Inland temperatures may reach into the 90s and in the desert the high could reach 114 degrees!

If you're going to get wet, a short sleeve fullsuit or even a springsuit will do the job, with the water temperature hanging between 63 and 66 degrees.  Have fun out there!
