Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Some playful peaks to pick off and cooler temperatures across the region.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing an increase in the action. There are definitely some playful size surf out there today.

We have some pretty clean conditions, with a mix of some southerly swell and northwest windswell in the water.

That means some broken-up peaky lines, with some fun wedgy shoulders to snag.  Most spots in IB are seeing knee to stomach high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling chest high plus sets.

Though the power is back on, it's still good to know that things will cool down a bit from yesterday.

Forecast calls for sunny or partly cloudy skies and a high of 80 in Imperial Beach, 75 in Chula Vista and San Diego, high 70s to mid 80s inland and 100 or mid 100s in the desert.

If you're going to get out there and grab a session, then throw on no more than a thin fullsuit, with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees. Have at it!
