Friday Surf and Weather Report

Run of fun surf sticks around.

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Our run of fun surf is sticking around for another day. So if you're getting an early start to your weekend, then go grab a few!

We're seeing some pretty clean conditions from the start with a mixture of fading south swell, some small southwesterly energy and a little increase in the northwest windswell.

That recipe is offering this area with some fast sectiony lines, with some nice shoulders, but some of the sets are a little walled. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to chest high waves, with the top combo breaks pulling a few plus sets.

In today's weather the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a high of 72 degrees and low of 60 degrees this evening. Expect similar weather this weekend. 73 degree high in San Diego Friday, low 80s inland and 109 in Borrego Springs.

If you're planning on paddling, well the water temperature has backed down again, so throw on short sleeve full for at least the a.m session, with it averaging between 64 and 66 degrees. Have fun out there!!
