This Freedom Walk 2011, taking place at De Anza Cove in Mission Bay Park, is hosted by Operation Homefront Southern California and will commemorate the lives lost in the attacks on 9/11.
Come out and recognizing the sacrifice of U.S. service members past and present with a non-competitive 5k that will both begin and end at De Anza Cove.
On-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the event starts at 9 a.m., with preparations beginning as early as 6:30am. Register here.
There will be a free concert provided by the Navy Region Southwest's Contemporary band and t-shirts will be handed out to the first 500 attendees.
