Daily Surf Report March 5

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Happy Saturday, another gorgeous day for IB so get out and enjoy the day if you haven't already. Waves are knee to chest high but still on the mushy side thanks to a early high tide. I suggest a fun type of board to maximize your wave count. Stay safe and stay wet!

Beach from Carnation Avenue to the U.S.-Mexico border is still considered contaminated and Imperial Beach lifeguards are advising people to stay out of the water until test samples from the County Department of Environmental Health indicate the water is safe. A general advisory has been lifted for all other San Diego County beaches.

The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the outpour of the Tijuana River are flowing into the ocean and being dispersed in all directions. See for yourself.
