Daily Surf Report Feb. 28 - Beach Closed

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Sunny Monday surf world! Its crisp and clean out there this morning.

Wind gusts have finally died down since this weekend, giving us some really fun looking corners out there. Waves are out of the west-northwest, knee to chest high with some plus size sets on the right sand bar.

The yellow signs are up for a general advisory in effect for all San Diego County beaches, as is customary after the kind of rain we have seen the past few days. That means enter the water at your own risk.

All IB beach is closed, from Carnation Avenue to southern end of Seacoast Drive to the U.S.-Mexico border. The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the outpour of the Tijuana River is flowing south of the river mouth. See for yourself.
