Daily Surf Report Feb. 11

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

A beautiful Friday in Imperial Beach. Too bad the waves are only ankle to chest high on your favorite sand bar. We don't have optimal surfing conditions today.

The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the outpour of the Tijuana River are down and flowing slightly north of the river mouth but no presence at the IB Pier or south of Seacoast Drive but a little 3/4 of a mile from the river mouth. See for yourself.

You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is chilly out of the northeast at 7 mph. Waters is 54-56 degrees.
