Beaches Closed, Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast
Not much energy out there and beaches remained closed due to poor water quality.
I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. We're looking at some pretty small leftover energy out there but Imperial Beach shoreline remains closed due to sewage contamined runoff from the Tijuana River.
The SCCOOS plume tracker, which follows the flow of Tijuana River waters when they meet the ocean, shows continued influence to the IB shoreline.
A general advisory issued to all other county beaches has been lifted.

Weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with highs from 63 to 68 and lows from 40 to 50. Winds of 15 mph, with gusts reaching 25 mph. 20 percent chance of rain Friday and this weekend through Sunday morning.
If you're planning on paddling at another beach, do yourself a favor and throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit or better yet 4/3 full and maybe even the booties with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. Good luck out there!
