Photo Gallery: Baylor Bears Beat UCLA Bruins in Holiday Bowl

With near 500 total yards, Baylor was able to keep a lead over UCLA for the entire game.

Nick Florence threw two first-half touchdown passes and Glasco Martin ran for two first-half scores as Baylor scored the first 21 points in a 49-26 victory over UCLA in the Holiday Bowl.

Florence completed 10 of 13 passes for 188 yards and ran one yard for a fourth-quarter touchdown as the Bears (8-5) won for the fifth time in six games.

Baylor out-gained UCLA, 494 yards to 362, and led 25-17 in first downs. Lache Seastrunk ran for 138 yards on 16 carries, including a 43-yard second- quarter touchdown run, and Martin 98 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries as the Bears out-rushed the Bruins, 306-33.

UCLA redshirt freshman quarterback Brett Hundley completed 26 of 50 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns, two in the fourth quarter, including a 34-yard pass to Logan Sweet as time expired.

Baylor scored its first touchdown on its second possession, driving 53 yards on six plays, with Martin running the final four yards for the score.

Florence threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Antwan Goodley then next time the Bears had the ball, concluding a seven-play, 84-yard drive which included Florence's 48-yard pass to Terrance Williams.

Baylor increased its lead to 21-0 on Florence's 55-yard touchdown pass to Tevin Reese with 11 minutes, eight seconds left in the second quarter.

The Bruins (9-5) scored their first touchdown on a 22-yard pass from Hundley to Joseph Fauria in the second quarter that made him UCLA's single- season passing record holder, breaking the previous record of 3,470 set by Cade McNown in 1998.

Baylor added touchdowns on 26- and 43-yard runs by Martin and Seastrunk later in the quarter.

UCLA freshman Ka'imi Fairbain kicked a 30-yard field goal with seven seconds left in the second quarter.

Martin ran one yard for the third quarter's only touchdown after Fairbain's 40-yard field goal.

The Bruins ended the season with three consecutive losses. UCLA has lost in four of its last five bowl appearances and six of its last eight.
