60% Chance of Rain, Tuesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast
Playful waves continue, possible thunderstorms.
Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report, but first the weather.
We have a 60 percent chance of rain today with possible thunderstorms before 11 a.m. High temperature of 78 degrees and low of 65 this evening. Scattered showers forecast for much of the rest of San Diego as well. Things are a bit warmer than Labor Day, with high temperatures of 81 in San Diego and Chula Vista, mid 90s inland and around 100 in the desert.
In the water, waves are continuing to back off, but you can still find some fun-size surf at those top south facing spots.

The conditions are looking fairly clean early on, with a mixture of mainly easing south southwest swell and some minor northwest windswell in the water.
That recipe is offering this neck of the woods with some fast semi-walled lines, with some nice pick and choose corners. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to stomach high plus waves, with the south facing focal points pulling some chest high plus sets.

Another southern hemisphere south swell is expected to arrive Wednesday.
If you're going to grab a session before you head to class or work, throw on a thin fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees. Good luck!
