40 Percent Chance of Rain, Tuesday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

More weak energy in the water.

Good Tuesday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you like the super small stuff, then get out there and grab a session, otherwise shine it!

Clean conditions from the start, but don't be surprised if things take a turn for the worse sooner than later due to the expected cold front moving down the coast.

As far as the surf goes, we have a mix of mainly minor northwest energy and a touch of southwesterly swell in the water. That means this stretch of sand can expect some soft sectiony lines, with a few workable ones on a log or possibly a fish.

Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee high, with the focal points pulling some thigh to waist high sets.

Tuesday's weather forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of rain and mostly cloudy. Rain is forecast to continue through Thursday. High of 68 and low of 60 in IB, 68 in Chula Vista, downtown San Diego and Coronado, high of mid 60s to lovw 70s inland.

If you're going to grab a session, a thin fullsuit will do the job, with the water temperature hanging between 60 and 63 degrees. Good luck out there!
