What Advice Would You Offer Graduating High School Students?

Approximately 350 students will graduate from Mar Vista High School Tuesday, among them the majority of players on the Mar Vista High School Boys Volleyball team.

In a ceremony before a final home volleyball game last month, some of them offered words of wisdom to underclassmen.

Robert Tschakert said: "I would like to tell all the underclassmen to take advantage of everything the school has to offer not only in sports but as well as the academics and to live your life to the fullest."

Tyler Chalmers said: "Don't expect good things to come to you. Work for it."

Gabriel Gonzalez said: "Commit yourself to constant self-improvement. This can also be applied in everyday life. Maximize your abilities."

Joel Vado said: "All people make mistakes and when you make a mistake the best thing you can do is learn from it and fix it."

What advice would you give members of the Class of 2013 that are graduating today? What advice would you offer students that are still in high school? Share in comments.
