Sweetwater Trustees Headed to Trial

Members of the Sweetwater Union High School District Board of Trustees and others indicted about a year ago will go to trial and defend themselves against accusations they participated in pay-to-play politics, NBC San Diego reported.

11 of 18 defendants have accepted plea deals, the news channel said.

The trial will begin in February.

they could at least have the decency to plead out and stop wasting taxpayer dollars.... there's are laws on the books that allows the state to recoup the monies lost as a result of the corruption....the taxpayer has the legal right to seize the assets of the board, school employees, and contractors involved...to pay for court cost and all losses as a result of illegal activity...
