You don't expect a quarterback to bring the pain, but that's what Mar Vista Varsity football player Jordan Lertique did last week.
Storming in from the strong safety position while on the other side of the ball, Lertique laid out Francis Parker runningback Jesse Brookins.
For his efforts, KUSI's Prep Pigskin Report has nominated Lertique for one of the top plays of last week's high school football games around San Diego County.

Lertique only threw one pass in the game but scored a touchdown on a QB sneak in the 37-0 win.
