Mar Vista Runningback Named to All-State Football Team
Jimmie Hill finished the season with an average of 11 yards rushing per carry.
Sophomore Jimmie Hill was named to CalHi Sports All-State underclassmen team last month.
Through 13 games in the 2011 season, the sophomore ran for 1,600 yards and was only held below 100 yards rushing twice.
With an average of about 10 carries a game, Hill led Mar Vista and the South Bay Metro league in rushing yards. Mar Vista runningbacks made up half of South Bay Metro top 10 rushers.

He was the only player from the Sweetwater Union High School District to earn the honor.
The Mariners finished their most successful season in school history with an 11-2 record and lost to Olympian High School .
