Mar Vista High School fall 2012 sports seasons began Saturday, with cross country running the Vaquero Invitational in Lakeside and the football team playing their first game at Point Loma High School.
Between Sept. 1 and Nov. 2, Mar Vista Varsity athletes playing six different sports will compete in more than 70 different games, mets and matches, almost all of which have been added to the IB Patch Events calendar.

The homecoming football game will be held Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. against Otay Ranch High School.
