2011-12 School Year Start Date: July 20

2011-12 School Year End Date: June 1

Registration Information: With the new school year starting next week, district officials say that most students should already be registered. If your child is not yet registered, you can do so by either calling the district or stopping by your local school.

Busing Fee: SUHSD offers a myriad of bus pass options, ranging from a two-way bus pass, one-way morning or afternoon passes, single ride tickets and family discounts. The district also provides free transportation for students whose families qualify for low-income assistance. Bus passes may be purchased on the district’s website. For more information call 619-691-5527.

Pertussis (Whopping Cough) Vaccination: Due to the passage of Assembly Bill 354, all students entering grades 7-12 are required to be vaccinated and must show proof of the vaccination prior to being able to start school. Call your doctor, the Imperial Beach Health Center or a local pharmacy for more information on where to receive a pertussis booster shot.
