I turned off westbound Rt. 75 onto Palm Aveune in the left of two lanes with an MTS bus traveling in the right lane and making the same turn. Approaching Rainbow and Palm westbound the right lane becomes a "right turn only lane" and the driver proceeded to move to the left lane to continue westbound. The only problem was I was in the left lane and he was alongside of me when he started to cut into my lane and almost forced me into the center island. I locked up my brakes and he just barely cleared me when he moved into my lane.
If he had his turn signal on, I wouldn't have known it because I was alongside of the bus when he started coming into my lane! A traffic engineer needs to look at this design again.
This uncontrolled merge is going to be accidents and people getting hurt.
