Who could read this and understand the implications without an attorney with less than 24 hours notice? Frankly I didn't see it in my e-mail until after the meeting was over. So here's your Successor Agency, being advised by Mayda Winter and Greg Wade to do this title, property transfer and forgive $25,000 former loan...when Winter was on still on the council voting! Are we covering up something? Is she too conflicted to advise the current council? How could any private citizen ; much less an attorney respond to this action with the very minimal notice given? If this is the way Council and it's various Alter-Agencies are going to operate in the future....THEN THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY LEFT and elections won't be necessary. Staff is running the city...Not the Council.
Voters? You're not developers or consultants! Did you notice yet they are ignoring the citizens that elected them?
If it's just simple housekeeping...why is it being corrected last minute and under the radar before anyone can find out? So what's with the $25,000 loan they want to forget and forgive?
I asked an attorney to take a look at this as soon as I read it to find out what it really means. My attorney is on vacation. How could anyone have public input unless they had time to dissect this transaction with an attorney smart enough to explain what it really is in layman's terms? This has all the appearances of a "FAST ONE" and I hope someone with legal knowledge would dissect this deal for us?
