I've known Lori Bragg since 1995. We have a long history and much of it was cordial prior to her becoming a City Council Woman the first term. I felt that she was a little naive about what and whom she was getting into bed with when she got elected. I don't know if Lori remembers my advice or not. I told her to get a friend who is an attorney to advise her. Do not trust the City Manager or the City Attorney to be your personal advisors . Well...one trip to the League of California Cities and she was repeating their Mantra...."Us or Them". The three ladies that were formerly on the council befriended her ....as Lori herself described....like Sorrority Sisters! I observed Rose, McCoy and Winter approach Lori outside Council Chambers last December exclaiming, "Hey Girlfriend"! They are not her friend. They have manipulated her and compromised her so that the Republican base that elected her is wondering what the hell she represents? Not them anyway? So Lori Drank the Kool Aid. She Bought In hook , line and sinker and has been doing the bidding of Rose, McCoy, Winter, Brown, Wade and Janney for about 7 years now In the video from Agenda Item 6.2 with the Sports Park she states that she was prepared to vote for the YMCA. That's the opposite of what she said at an earlier meeting. She admits to asking Gary Brown for advice on how to vote. And the most preposterous statement was; "We're all in this together"! Lori....NO ! WE ARE NOT ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. IS THAT WHY YOU PRESIDE OVER SECRET MEETINGS? IS THAT WHY YOU SUPPORT PAYING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO TRY TO GAG THE GRAND JURY? Is that why you and the rest of your Council/ Successor Agency are trying to conceal bad accounting practices and and other questionable dealings in secret closed sessions? NO WE'RE NOT ALL IN IT TOGETHER COUNCILWOMAN BRAGG. WHEN YOU ARE INDICTED AND CONVICTED AND GET SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON......WE'RE NOT ALL IN IT TOGETHER. You can go with your "Girlfriends" if you want... but we're not with you on this one any more that we were with you presiding over secret meetings.
