If you haven't read the 17 pages of the Grand Jury Report that the City tried to prevent you from ever seeing....you should take 10 minutes and read it. Read it to yourself,your spouse, your neighbors and friends and see if you come to the same conclusions as IBchr on this website or the Eagle & Times.

Read it and draw your own conclusions whether you think these folks are eithical enough to continue to run Imperial Beach or whether they should be recalled from office and staff fired? TRANS- WHAT??
A recent response to the Grand Jury was published in the Eagle & Times giving the impression that the City of Imperial Beach got a Five Star Rating from the Grand Jury on it's accounting principles and abilities.

Nothing could be further from the truth and the real truth is: they still don't want you to know about it...talk about it...think about...and they continue to hold closed session meetings about it! The letter in the Eagle Times claims to be from the City Of Imperial Beach but has no signed author. Some folks have actually tried to defend the City's Secret Meetings and their alternate missions after they get elected to City Council. Bottom line is they spent your money to try to prevent the Grand Jury from releasing it's report...and they lost. The report is only a partial examination of merely two items of MANY in the original complaint. Imperial Beach did not get a Pat on the Head and a Gold Star! I dare say that if they had looked at more samples they would have found even more problems? There sure appears to be a pattern of behavior here that is not acceptable.
I'm sure City Staff and Councilmembers are working overtime with their creative writers to come up with some real answers that won't get them cited for Contempt! We these just accidents or oversights? For what Gary Brown made in salary and benefits...these books should have been "perfect"....not "flawed"!
