Is Imperial Beach Going Down ?
The clock is ticking! The Publishing of the Grand Jury Report means people have to respond to the Grand Jury and the presiding Judge. What are they going to say? What are they going to do?
The Grand Jury is no doubt NOT PLEASED about the Gag Order, which was given as a TRO or Temporary Restraining Order. It failed to become permanent at the hearing however and some testimony given was questionable; if not perjury? The reason why I say that is because the recently hired Finance Director that replaced the previous one who jumped ship.....She told the court that she had ordered a temporary worker to redact attorney billing to the City Attorney and she had failed to do that and accidently gave the Controller/ Grand Jury documents that were not documents they would have given up voluntarily if they had their little crook thinking caps all on the same way. Trouble with CROOK-TOCRACY........too many cooks (crooks)! So what City did this Finance Lady work for again? OMG! That City? Didn't they go bankrupt over RDA Bond Debt? Gary Browns gone all of a sudden too...Just Retirement or maybe something else?
The Grand Jury is giving Imperial Beach an opportunity to correct some items in their books or ??????
By the way....the Glowing review in the Eagle and Times that pretty much called the Grand Jury Liars....the one that probably Greg Wade wrote, but has no name signed to it....yea...that's the one...that says the Grand Jury is lying about I.B.'s precarioius financial situation and the questionable way they do their accounting. Nobody was accused or indicted for fraud.......yet!
If the City Thumbs their nose at the Grand Jury for the 3rd or 4 time in as many years.....somebody might see it as contempt? It appears from their published response to the Grand Jury Report in the Eagle and Times that they will DENY..DENY...DENY all the way to the end.
Why do the citizens allow them to still preside over City affairs? They spent your money to pay the City Attorney to try to keep this report and the Controller's Report Secret from you! They are not FESSING UP PUBLICLY ABOUT THE BOND DEBT LIABILITY. THEY HAVE RUINED THE HEART OF I.B. FOR YEARS....While the hotel may flicker ......who's paying for it. These Developers got way more than the cost of running public parks ! How many Millions?
We'll see what they respond to the Grand Jury. They have to do it in writing and you can bet it's going to get published too! HOW ARROGANT ARE THEY?
