Wednesday Workshop Will Review Future City Goals, Finances

City residents are invited to City Hall Wednesday at 6 p.m. to hear a review of the city's current financial status and goals. Comments from attendees will help update the list of priorities for the next four years.

What do you think the city should accomplish in 2011? 2012? Want to know what the city budget will be in the next two years?

These are all important questions to ask and things to know.

The Imperial Beach City Council will host a workshop Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Community Room behind to lay out their goals for the next few years and take questions and comments from attendees. City staff will try and find consensus among attendee's comments and views then amend an existing list of  priorities for Council to adopt at a future meeting.

These kinds of workshops are typically held once a year or each time new City Councilmembers are elected or budget passed, said the City Clerk's office.

The city's financial status and outlook for the 2011-2013 budget will also be reviewed by Finance director Michael McGrane.
